So a few weeks back my niece and nephew were in town and we went to the zoo. The animals were lounging about because it was 90 degrees which for May in Utah is unheard of. Sure wish little Milo and Rowen lived a little closer, the zoo was a big hit!
Birds!

Lions & Tigers & Bears Oh My….

Rowen & Milo loving the zoo…..

Fun was had by all…

I know I know it’s literally been a year since I have posted. And what a year it has been! The biggest change was a new job at Salt Lake magazine, when blogging is a part of your job it’s hard to get motivated to do it at home. But alas I am back, armed with a years worth of photos. I’ll slip those in here and there but today I took some amazing photos hiking Dimple Dell with Rob and Wren. It was so pretty that it actually inspired me to blog again…today! This is definitely Wren’s favorite place to go and I have to say I agree (=. Enjoy.
First the scenery…

And then Wren…

It wasn’t too hot but it’s always nice when their is a stream…

It truly is a beautiful day…

And the best part of hiking Dimple Dell…Wren is finally tired…at least for a minute (=

Sorry that I haven’t been posting much the end of May we welcomed an English Pointer/Aussie/Border Collie puppy into our home named Wren Yardley Yeo. He has been an absolute delight but as you can imagine flipped our world upside down. Now that he is finally sleeping all the way through the night I can get back to blogging, knitting, sleeping (=. Here are some snapshots of our new baby!

So I realize we have now just had Mothers Day but this Spring has been busy. Between a late Easter, early Mothers Day and lots of snow mixed with sun it has been an odd little season. Here are a few things I knitted for Easter. The mothers day crafts as well as the spring garden pics will be coming in the next couple of days. Happy Spring!

It’s Spring in Utah so we get everything from heaps of snow to 60 degrees back to back. Our office is consistently cold year round so I was super excited to find this easy fingerless glove pattern at Blazing Needles. http://www.blazing-needles.com/blog/item/7-the-beauty-of-ragtop-mitts The yarn I used was the Malabrigo Rios, it is super soft and fuzzy…however tangles like crazy!

So Rob and I and many of our friends are back to playing WOW. Rob and I were really into raiding a few years back but have been playing casually off and on for 6 years! Crazy how times flys… anyways it is winter and snowy, there is a new expansion and we have caught the WOW bug again. We are also back to raiding but in a much more casual way, 10 mans instead of 40 mans and with mainly our friends; 2 nights a week instead of 5… Below is a picture of my character and screen shots of our first three raid boss kills. There are 12 bosses total in this latest expansion. It has been a lot of fun to play with our friends and Rob’s brother in Japan…it’s almost like they are just in the other room instead of 100’s of miles away.

So we have three crazy cats (=. Keoke is the youngest (8 or 9) and is a short haired black cat that Rob rescued as a kitten from a job site back in the day when he was in construction. Soje is a long haired ginger cat and is the oldest at 11, Loki is a Himalayan and is 10 years old. On Friday I took Loki and Soje in for their checkup’s and haircut. Soje is now 15.5 pounds! Good thing we have her on diet food…seems to really be working… At any rate they are super cute and cuddly and here are some hilarious pics of our fuzzballs.

Sorry for the three posts in one day! While I had a second to spare I wanted to get these pictures to you. This last weekend was lovely and almost 60 and sunny. We have so many birds that come to our feeders. These are a few pictures of a flock of doves that visit our house daily. I wish I had a better picture so you could get an idea of how many are actually at the feeder…certainly over 20. I also am posting a picture of my coworker Lynne and her new baby boy Leo. He is wearing a cute eggplant hat that I knitted for him in the Fall. He is such a cutie!

Feb 9 was my Step Mom’s Birthday. Because she reads the blog I waited until after she received her package before I added these pictures of her gift and card to the site. The card is inspired by a published card in CardMaker Magazine’s March issue. The scarf is made from a ShiBui silk yarn. The pattern is simply a knit pattern. I love that yarn so much and am saddened to learn they are no longer making it!
